Scatter my Ashes at Bergdorf’s

It’s the most mythic of all American emporiums – and the scene of many an ultimate fashion fantasy. The film offers a rarified chance to peek behind the backroom doors and into the reality of the fascinating inner workings and fabulous untold stories from Bergdorf Goodman’s iconic history as the premier fashion store.

Celebrating the iconic store’s 111th anniversary, we follow the history of the legendary Fifth Avenue landmark. The thrilling and remarkable story is told by fashion icons as well as celebrity and socialite clientele, longstanding employees, and members of the Goodman family.

The sheer volume of interviewees in this documentary is astounding. This is probably the greatest lineup I’ve ever seen for a fashion documentary. I learnt a lot about some very interesting women like Betty the personal shopper and Linda Fargo the fashion director. And the stories behind the window dressing alone blow your mind.
