Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA, Critics’ Choice Best animated feature

This is a great film!!!! A refreshing breath of fresh air for superhero movies. The animation is breathtaking and groundbreaking, leaping straight from the pages of a comic book onto the big screen with an incredible sense of vibrancy in its stunningly bright colours and vivacious story.

A bit of a conceptual dare, but it wins with its nano-second sharp timing, and percussive rat-a-tat-tatting of panels and split screens that make the action and visual gags feel jumpy and alive.

It’s as if everyone had set out to make the best Spider-Man movie ever, which is exactly what they’ve done.
Wall Street Journal

Miles Morales is juggling his life between being a high school student and being a spider-man. When Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk uses a super collider, others from across the Spider-Verse are transported to this dimension.

Honestly this might be the best Spider-Man movie in almost 15 years, which says a lot considering it’s an animated feature. Cool vibes, cool dialogue, hip and sarcastic. The film has fun with the metier and the characters. Bright, fast-paced with an Acme hammer and anvil to boot! A delightful comic book comedy for all ages that will please longtime fans and enamour children alike.
Hate to say, but really the only animated award contender out there. By a long shot.
